Robin Williams announces rescheduled Self Destruction tour dates

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Good news for all your Robin Williams fans out there, the funnyman has recovered wonderfully, and the comic is set to resume his Weapons of Self Destruction tour in September. There are still quite a few Robin Williams tickets left out there so if you want to see him get yours soon. The comic is sure to have plenty to say about his operation, so be there for all the side=splitting hilarity.

Robin Williams “Weapons of Self Destruction” tour will resume in September of 2009. The first Robin Williams show will be on September 30 in Bloomington, Indiana. Williams had to postpone his original tour to undergo surgery to replace an aortic valve, repair a mistral valve and fix an irregular heartbeat. “I have one new valve and a repaired valve. I have a cow valve, which is great, and the grazing’s been fun – and I give a good quart of cream, too, my friend,” Williams told David Letterman on The Late Show.

He also told Dave how the surgery let him appreciate life more. “It gives you a different kind of energy,” he says. “Literally, breathing becomes really wonderful. It opens you up to the idea that life is pretty extraordinary, because you are alive. Little things mean a lot. And you get really emotional over small things. But it really does make everything so vivid.”
